Holiday Information

Forget the Thailand of the mass-tourism brochures! This trip will introduce you to a land rich in culture, beauty and diversity seldom seen by those who think only of its beaches and bars.
Thailand is a country rich in cultural and ethnic diversity. It has a remarkable heritage of ancient crafts of all kinds. Setting off from Bangkok, this tour takes us north, through some stunning areas seldom visited by tourists and where you will have a real opportunity to appreciate authentic Thai life and meet the craftsmen and women working with ThaiCraft and Y Development.
ThaiCraft Association, which has worked with nearly 100 communities around the country, was set up by Stephen and Suwadee Salmon who have been involved in fair trade for many years. Your guides from ThaiCraft will take you through stunning landscapes, and ancient temples and sanctuaries to meet producer groups making an array of beautiful crafts.
In addition to the wonderful cuisine and scenery, this trip gives you a unique opportunity to visit a huge variety of rural villages and to meet and get to know a whole host of fair trade producers.
