Towering palms, sandy beaches and vibrant towns provide a stunning backdrop to our journey around Cuba, but it is the rare opportunity to learn about and enjoy this intriguing country that attracts people to this tour. The striking friendliness of the people of Cuba enables us to learn firsthand from farmers about the challenges and benefits of organic farming and permaculture techniques, and throughout our tour we see how a unique political setting impacts on the lives of ordinary people.
We visit sugar and tobacco farmers to learn about these historically important crops, and city-based allotments to see how fruit and vegetables are encouraged in the urban areas. Visits to sites commemorating the Cuban Revolution give an insight into the country's complex social history and there'll be plenty of opportunity to enjoy its lively artistic and musical scene.
Our partner Cubania Travel, is a small independent travel agency committed to operating their business and tours in a way that is sympathetic to the local society, economy, culture and environment. Cuba is their passion and their holidays are designed to give travellers a truly Cuban experience with special touches that make them even more memorable.
