Our Briefings
Prior to every tour we hold a briefing day at Traidcraft's Head offices in Gateshead.
Briefings are held on Saturdays between 10.30am and 3.30pm approximately 2 to 8 weeks before you travel. It is a great opportunity to meet your fellow travellers, develop your understanding of what we will see and ensure you are in a position to get the most from your tour.
We have chosen our northern venue to allow you the opportunity to visit Traidcraft to understand more about Traidcraft and fair trade in the UK before you go out to meet the producers. As well as giving some great travel advice, basing our briefings and reunions in the Northeast allows us to invite some of Traidcraft's highly skilled and knowledgeable staff to join us to talk in more detail about the producer groups that you will be visiting and their relationship with Traidraft.
Briefings are a relaxed day, designed to answer all of your questions and help you to get the most from your trip so there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions and meet people equally excited about your travels!
Your Reunions
We hold a big reunion for tours in spring each year. Again at Traidcraft's offices, this is a good opportunity to meet up with your fellow travellers, exchange photographs and reflect on the tour. We welcome any feedback and comments that you have on your trip and appreciate the time you take to share your experiences with us.
With staff from Skedaddle and Traidcraft present at all reunions you again have the opportunity to ask any questions that arose during the tour about Traidcraft and fair trade and to understand everything in more detail.
Alongside time catching up about your tour, we try to group our reunion events so that there are travellers from a number of different tours joining us on the same day. Morning coffee, a joint lunch and afternoon workshops provides the opportunity to meet people who have been on a different tour and to talk about the fair trade groups visited in some of our other destinations.
